the Infinity Reference 6030cs are components. they are 6 1/2 mids that go next to ur glove box and under ur steering wheel and the tweeters do fit in the tweeter spot but u have to figure a way for them to mount up in there. they will slide in and out so tape, stuffing? u just gota be creative lol

I just finished upgrading my speakers. I didn't use the kickers. I used Vibe audio slick 6.5s in the rear and black air components up front. If I didn't work for a place that got this stuff at cost I would have done the kickers.
I've installed stuff in my TJ with no problems. I had to fab brackets front a rear to mount the speakers because standard dodge/jeep speaker adapters to not fit. Also, I have the base single disc radio and I heard people with the infinity system using the factory crossover. I tried both ways and it sounded better using the factory one on mine.
Only problem is the tweeters are to big to install on the factory spot without messing up the tweeter pods. I wasn't ready to mess those up so I put the factory tweets back. After hearing my new ones the factory ones do very very little.
Verdict: I am very happy with the sound. It's very full and a good amount of bass and they have to break in for 30 hours. I still gotta figure out the tweeters. The install was a pain. Took me 5 hours. Removing the dash was easy, moding the speakers so I didn't have to drill into factory plastics a bit and playing with tweeter ideas took most of that.
