hey all, i have a 2007 2 dr, and i just had 2 10" subs installed in the trunk, basically im wondering if anyone has any ideas of how i can ensure that it wont get stolen in the summer when i take my hard top off. i know theres threads out there on this topic, but i think my situation might be different based on the setup i have. ill post some pics to give a visual.

Well you could take the stock sub out for some more room, behind that using some L brackets on the outside to fasten it to the floor. Or better yet remove the subs and secure the box through the bottom/side to the floor.

The only problem is that there is simply no way to ensure that they won't be stolen. There's little you can do if someone wants it bad enough. At best you could and should insure your stuff.

 

Your damned if you do regardless. Thieves are going to see the subs and first cut the top or break glass prior to realizing youve mounted them in to prevent theft. I would love subs...but i dont want to replace a soft top becuase of some jackass wanting them.
