There's an app for that... JL and Rockford-Fosgate have apps for iphone/pod that are pretty close when compared to actual meters... For SPL levels I mean...

You could also look into a distortion tester, like the ddm1 from smd. This will help you set up the system and make everything distortion free.

I have dual 12" subs in my trunk... youll have to make a funny looking box. Measure all the angles and if your using an l7 you might want to have it set into the box just a bit so it doesnt hit againt the tail gate... or atleast have some space. Everybody kept asking me if "the cone rubs on the metal on trunk"

I read further and saw you decided not to go with l7 15" just keep in mind you can get a pioneer/pyle set-up and have it sound better than some of the mid-higher level set ups. Its really all about how well you wire it, im sure you know this and im just spewing

its do able for sure! Im excited to see your final product!

JBL BASS BRO. I can't stress enough how hard this powered sub hits. Clean clean clean and more than enough for my 2Dr and it is only turned up halfway.

If they are both inverted wire them up the same way as now. If one is inverted and sharing the same chamber you swap pos to neg and neg to pos on the speaker inputs. At the sub that is Not the amp
