Man u ppl gotta be insane(or deaf) lol I have a single powered 12" RF (P300-12) at 300rms and I can't imagine having anything more than that in a 2dr, not only for physical size limitations, but for the sound pressure levels u guys must be pushing. Has anyone ever measured it with a dual setup? Maybe i'm too old to get it? I don't get it

You know what.. I bet that is it.. I wonder if some of that Dynamat would keep it from rattling..
Yup. 2Dr.
The box I built is on Page 1 of this thread: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-e...nd-bar-254670/
Nothing fancy.. Just a regular sub box. The back of the box that touches the seat is built on a slant. I think at the bottom there is about 14-16" between the seat and the back door. Then up near the top of the door there is only 12"
between the seat and door.

What amp are you going to run? There are a few factors when determining power output to each woofer. If you get a 1800 watt amp, which say is 1800@1 ohm, your getting all your power @ 1 ohm.
First, your amp needs to be able to draw the max amount of amperage from the electrical system and stay at the correct voltage to reach that 1800 watts.
Next, you have impedance rise. This happens in every system and can be either a really low rise 2-3x your normal impedance or really high. This is dependent on box. Its not something you need tp focus on, but know that its always going to be there. The meaning of this is, when your at a 1 ohm load, the subs are playing constantly at a higher impedance. This means that the impedance the amp sees at 0 volume is a different impedance it will see at vol. 35. Soo, the amt of power isn't always at 900 watts per sub. It may be significantly lower at 5,6,700 watts.
With that burning in the back of your mind the hdc3s are an underrated 1000 watt woofer. My hdc3 10s were on audioques 3500 watt amp at a .5ohm load. I believe they would have liked more power. I never smelled them, not once! Awesome subs but they love power.
My opinion to you would be to go with the sundown sa series 12. They are underrated as well and have very good quality. May be more comparable to the power you will be supplying.
Im by no means dowing what ideas you have, just putting my opinion in.
