i have an 09 X that does not have a subwoofer.if i buy a used one are the speaker wires still located in the rear of the jeep?

i dont think so, but even if they are, you will need to buy an amp, the infinity headunit(?) and get the computer flashed to get it to work.

someone chime in if i am incorrect.

I can only answer on the wire/plug. I found it back there on the wifes 09-"X". I went another route w/ an aftermarket amp, and ran my own wire anyhow, but like I said the factory wire/plug was there

does it require an amp?and do you know if the speakers wires are there on a X?

yes it needs the infinity amp....i am not sure if its pre wired or not....
