Default Sub Placement

I love having subs and I have in my last jeep and cars. However I dont like losing any space with boxes in the back of the jeep. I have a four door and I am looking for somewhere to place my current subs. Has anyone put them under the back seats? or are there and good mounting ideas or boxes that people have made to put them to still have a full size trunk if wanted?

I've seen some really nice boxes mounted to the tailgate and some even nicer custom fitted perfectly under the rear seat. But a daw back to the latter is that u cant fold the seats down. Both are around here somewhere on the forum.

Default Use the storage tub

I just made my own that sits down inside the tub of the rear cargo area. It sits about 2 and a half inches above the floor. I am making a transition piece that extends to the gate and will "lock" the box in place when the gate is closed. I also need to add some carpet to it

It is hinged to allow amplifier access and then fold down to hide it.

I'd look at the JL stealthbox. Deep bass, slim fit.

I am going to upgrade a lot of the sound system in the next couple of months, I pulled the 8" bazooka tube from my accord and it fits well in the rear storage hole so I plan to do the hidden storage floor mod and hide it under the floor removing the stock sub. this should give the appearance of a flat floor.

All of the ideas posted here take away some of the rear cargo space. Even the compartment below application sticks out above the cargo floor a bit. It looks like there is plenty of room under the rear seat. That's where I will be putting mine this weekend. I have a rack for long items and never fold down the seats. I wonder if anyone has ever cut a couple into the rear tailgate. They'd have to be thin though.
Edit: just founfd this thread: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ounted-subs..&
