Stock Sound System Question.
hi all,
non-native-english-speaker needs confirmation
I have a 2007 wrangler sport, I think it is the X modell in the US, with the stock sound system. with the help of some threads here I was able to change all speakers to something better, but I still need some more bass.
the HU is still original http://jeep-wrangler-jk.blogspot.com...tzentrale.html , and will be replaced later. need to figure out what I want first.(car pc, gps, radio,....)
As space is very limited, I decided to go with a small active subwoofer. the question is, is there a line out for the subwoofer on the stock unit, or do I need to tap the speaker cables ? from what I understood in the threads here, tap is needed.
could you please confirm ?
thanks

That is correct, assuming your amp has speaker level inputs. If it just has RCA plugs like these
You will need a LOC a Line Output Converter. This takes the speaker levels and converts it to something the amplifier can handle.
