Now what we need to do is go over to the Dodge Nitro forums somewhere and make a big deal about how much better a Nitro's stereo sounds if they replace their amps with Jeep Wrangler amps.

If we could we convince them that our Wrangler amps would get rid of all that unwanted excess sound coming out of their speakers, we'd be able to trade with them without paying $150

Ok got the new "Nitro" amp installed in 5 minutes!

And there is without a doubt a major difference in the sound.... No more highs that cut your head in 2. Now its more balanced. A huge difference in the lows and sub! But the best part is the soundbar is worth something now! Its sounds so nice to have a surround type sound instead of all the sound coming at you just from the front!

I am Very Happy!

$150 total....<-----including 2 day FedEx shipping!!

Definitely the fastest audio install I have ever done!

Just installed the Nitro amp. I had to wait about 2 weeks due to them being back ordered at moparpartsamerica. There is full volume at all the speakers. The sound is more leveled out and with the head unit set to BASS +9 this thing really pounds!

Now that I have all the power I need for my system now I need to upgrade the dash and soundbar speakers to stop the distorsion.

I have an 07 Sahara with the infinity setup. Now, if I'm playing a hip hop/rap song I put the bass all the way up and my woofer hits fairly well.

but I haven't really been worriesome about the soundbar til after reading this thread....

off to the garage I go. A nice controlled system to fully inspect my soundbar.

so...

I've been following this thread.

This is what I gather.

The Nitro amp and the Wrangler amp are the same unit.
The Factory settings of the Nitro amp are more awesome than the factory settings of the Wrangler amp.

Taking the Wrangler amp to get flashed with wrangler settings achieves something, but not the awesomeness of the Nitro amp.

Now, it seems to me, that being the same amp, what is needed for the Wrangler amp is to be flashed to the Nitro amp settings.
The problem being, how to get this done.

I remember seeing another thread on the internal workings of this amp.

There should be a way to manipulate the amp settings yourself.

Would one of the aftermarket controllers enable this ability?
