Stock Battery Terminals and winch use?
Hey Guys,
I just hooked up a Westin 8000 lb. winch to my 2012 JKU 4door Sahara, and went to hook the winch cables to the Battery Terminals..... And kinda had second thoughts.... The stock terminals seem really lite weight for the kinda heavy Amps, a winch pulls....
I see quadratec has heavy terminals with a bus built in.....for around $35. What do you guys think.... Spring for the heavy terminals... Or just hook up.... And not worry about it?
Thanks!
Fred

I agree. Many of us have been using the stock terminals for a long time with zero issues. But if it makes you feel better than by all means buy that unnecessary part...

I usually replace my terminal ends since the factory ones usualy cause me troubles mounting accesories. Currently have a nail wedged in on my positive post to keep it tight, odysey terminal is smaller then OEM I guess.
Thing is though, if you go to any local auto parts store you can get those heavy duty ones for 10 bucks or so and it comes as a pair... and that's canadian funds so probably 2 bucks down yonder there
