Just a quick thanks to this forum. The help you can get from here is great. We have the same dam problem in our 08 unlimited rubicon. We were about 40 miles from the dealer when the poping started. I am headed to the dealer to day with all the amp info and part # I hope they take the input and use it to fix my jeep with a quickness. Thanks again

Just got mine back from the dealer, and the pops and cracks are all gone. I would without a doubt agree that the bass is a bit less hard hitting, but I can atleast listen at the lower volumes without the pops. With mine they replaced the amp not a firmware upgrade. This also fixed the issues with playing CDs, and MP3's not a single abnormal noise.

Hope this helps the next person with this issue.

Took out the amp, running all the speakers off a new JVC headunit. The speakers are actually pretty good on the Infinity upgrade system, and I also ran a new 4 gauge subwoofer kit through to the back to a twin-10" box. Sounds awesome, loud as a cannon....

I finally got the time to visit the dealer today about the popping in the speakers. I showed them TSB 08-030-07, which they were aware of. Apparently I was the first one to come in. They did the update on the spot and I was in and out in 15 minutes. Like others have mentioned, the bass is a little less powerful. Before the update I ran it at +7, and now have it set to +9. Other than the bass, there are no problems while playing CDs.
