Prob the starter. If you have an auto, there's also a chance it's the gear shifter sensor thinking its not in Park. Wiggle the shifter, and try starting again.

Do you have an automatic?

Mine once in a while will click, the starter will slightly engage and crank for a second. I turn the key back to off and try several times with the same thing. Then I give the shifter a wiggle and it starts right up. So it seems to be related to the range select in the auto trans.

A lot of people have fixed the issue by installing a large ground wire between an alternator mount bolt and the battery negative terminal.

It seems to be indirectly related to the range sensor. A more direct cause could be poor grounds, which may cause too much amperage to go through the range sensor contacts, making them lose continuity. The contacts are submerged in transmission fluid. Moving the shifter lever a little reestablishes continuity. A lot of people have fixed the issue by installing a large ground wire between an alternator mount bolt and the battery negative terminal.
