Default Speaker upgrade

Hello all! This is my first time asking for help! I own a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sport, went to Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion and bought a set of 6 1/2 inch speakers. I was wondering if I should put them in the sound bar or in the dash if they will fit. I just want better sound, not the thumping. I do not have a amplifier just new speakers. Thank you in advance to anyone who replies

Welcome to JKF.. OK, are these Plug & Play, the connector on speaker matches the factory speaker wiring connector/plug? If yes then I would go sound Bar... easy just need a torx and time. Dash is more of a challenge and struggle, again Plug & Play. Hope you do not have to splice wiring to connect up the speakers. Keep the Forum updated on your success.

Thank you Jay2013jk! I went ahead and put the speakers in the sound bar. I got connector adapters to plug into the speakers which worked well. Also when I bought the speakers, I had to get the neon speaker adapter also because my factory speakers has 3 screw holes and my new speakers have 4. I could not get them lined up with the holes ever which way I placed it. It would not line up for nothing and they told me I had to have them. Since the didn’t line up, I read where someone gutted the factory speakers and just use that since it had the 3 holes. So that is what I did…it worked but I couldn’t use my pretty cover to go over the speakers. It still looks like factory. I would like to use them but later on down the road, I might do it right. If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. Thanks again for responding!!!
