Question Sound System upgrade

Hey all! I need help to figure out how to upgrade my sound system in a 2015 jeep wrangler, two door. My son has a 2015 jeep wrangler, four-door and it came with Alpine Soundsystem. I don’t expect to have near the system he has but would like to upgrade. I don’t know the first step on what to purchase for an upgrade. I think I need to upgrade the dash speakers and the sound bar speakers but what else needs to be upgraded? What size are the speakers supposed to be for each area? Thank you so much for your time!

The quickest and easiest way to get better sound

replace the four 6.5" speakers (two in the dash and two in the soundbard) with Kickers. Link to them on Amazon

If you're doing that, the next step is nicer tweeters. Link to them on Amazon

You're going to have a concert compared to what you had before.

Next step is probably going to be to upgrade the stereo. Sky's the limit on that but most guys go with something that does screen mirroring, either carplay if you're an iPhone guy, or screen mirroring for Android. That gives you gps, etc.

I have a long commute so I like to listen to podcasts from my phone on my stereo.

Once you've got the stereo upgraded, toss an amp under the seat. They make brackets that make it super easy.

Now that you've got an amp, probably time to do a subwoofer to fill in the missing bass.

I did two 10" subs in a box in the back of my JKU.

Punchy and full without pissing people off.

If you don't want a subwoofer box then you can subsitute an under seat integrated sub+woofer solution. They make budget and high end versions.

This will get you plenty of awesome sound without breaking the bank. Of course if you're looking for high end then drag your Jeep through your local car audio shop and see what sticks.

Good luck.
