I'm using #1. Sorry, I forgot that had 2 drawings on it. I used the drawing to know which terminals to use for what. I attached my wire from the fuse box to terminal 3 for power, grounded under the steering column with Terminal 5, and Terminal 2 is what is going out to the light. So that's the part that doesn't quite make sense in my head. I'm only putting 1 wire out to the light that has 2 (ground/power) so the only thing I can think of to do is run the power wire to it, then ground the light somewhere in the back where I need it. I'm no electrical guru so that would be why it's not working.

Is it only 1 wire going to the light and it's magnetic mounted? If so it uses the magnet as the ground when attached. The ground on the switch is for the light in the switch. Also if you are not running a relay check to make sure the switch will handle the amperage across it. Wire size is the easy way to tell what amperage the light needs.

The light is magnetic but it originally plugged into the cig lighter and worked when not touching a metal surface.

Then it sounds like the ground might be your issue. Please don't take offense to this question but r u sure you have the correct positive wire hooked up to your switch? Also if it was a joined pair of wires where do you have it grounded at?

Having some fun with my light switches from OTRATTW. Installed on a 2012 Switch Pod. Next step to wire them up. Dual LED. Wording is in Amber and comes on with ignition, symbols are green and turn on when switch is turned on.

Couple more photos of install. Rockers had to be sanded down to fit properly.

Do you have a quick wiring diagram where you grabbed the "on with ignition"?

I just used the "12 Volt Power Adapter" wire harness from Q_____tec to tap the aux power that is ignition switched. Then ran wire over to switches for power. The switched come with a wire diagram for the 5 prongs to let you know which prongs are for which LEDs.
