I did use the 3m and have only had one come loose. Used some gorilla crazy glue and it seems to be holding.

I'm using the Cyclone LEDs from KC. About $20 each - but very rugged, small, easy to mount with the center hole and quite bright.

I have a pair of amber KCs wired into my turn signals. They light up the whole tire. Probably going to go the same route for my rock lights.

My LUX lights came in today. I work with industrial automation, and keep a small 12v power supply handy to test stuff. These things are super bright! Can't wait for the install this weekend

Figured I would update this. I decided to install these last night. Besides for being time consuming it turned out pretty good. For lifted Jeeps it'll be a lot easier to get the lighting even around the vehicle. Where my lights are positioned, without a lift makes them too focused and not spreading like they should. This is changing soon, though! I installed these on a hoist and positioned everything with the Jeep raised in preparation for my next phase.

My cell phone takes away some of the light that these produce...it's a lot brighter than it appears.

I like this, however, I'm running a full Rock Hard Skid plate which really limits where I can put my lights. You've got a big black square in the middle which shouldn't be a problem as that area is all steel on my jeep, but do you think it could be eliminated with a couple additional LEDs? Maybe the 12 LED version instead of the 8 would be better.

I'm still undecided on if I'm going to add more lights. I test fit everything before hand using the power supply I mentioned. My 1st thought when I saw my Jeep on the ground in it's current configuration...was I was going to have to order another 4 lights. Thinking that, I was going to put 2 lights on the sides and 2 lights front/rear (skipping the wheel wells). While I was raising the Jeep getting ready to reposition them, I noticed how drastic things changed with the added height. The dark spot in the center, behind the front wheels, and front bumper shadows almost vanishes. Plus the light spread is much greater outside the vehicle.

Hopefully I'll have some time next month to get my lift and front axle completed. Going with coil overs and 37's. After that, I'll make up my mind whether additional lights are needed. I didn't cut any wire yet, everything was coiled and zip-tied just incase I want to change something after I lift.

How did you wire them up and how did you mount them?
