Default Rock Light Idea, LED strip lights.

So since I have 4 switches, and only 1 used, I am trying to figure out what I can install at lesser cost. I bought my wife a 2012 Focus and that seriously cut into my JK budget.

Has anyone run LED strip lights underneath the JK? An online retailer has some 16.4 foot strips for $17, twice the brightness of regular LED rope. I imagine this would give more uniform and brighter light?

Anyone done this?

Thanks.

I've also been think of this. Seems that strips of LEDs or tube lights could be better protected than Litedots or VisionX's tantrum pods. Tucking it up against the frame would provide better protection and possibly more light than other solutions.

Since LEDs draw so little current did you use a relay or just wire those strips just with a switch?

Looks good! I've been eyeing those LED lights at the auto stores. Very affordable
