Bought one for shows/parades, etc. Anyone have a good wire diagram on how to install? Looks pretty straight forward, but I want to run the light off two switches. I have the D2s on a switch now for normal on/off, I'd like to put the flasher on a separate switch similar to the video link below so I can still use the D2s and normal trail lights and activate the strobe stuff when needed.

That's simple enough- a double throw switch. Up will power it normal, center is off, down will feed power through your strobe unit and out to your lights.

Or......a switch to a relay (but you'll need a second switch to apply power to your switch) 87 can be standard function, 87a can be your strobe.

The dual probe switch would probably be your easiest/ best option.

All standard disclaimers- all applicable state laws apply, don't impersonate police/ law enforcement, etc.

That's what I had though also, except I'm trying to run this through my sPod...so it add another level of complexity to it. I figured out how to run my ARB compressor through the sPod, this can't be that difficult, I'm just used to installing high/low wig-wags which spice into high-beam lines and these relays don't have the normal input/output lines for that.

I don't think I can switch the type of switches I've got in the sPod, and wouldn't really want to mess with that since it all came pre-wired.

I won't need to worry about the disclaimer...and I don't use my POV for that anyway. Jeep has wayyyyyyyy too many mods done to worry about getting hit trying to run code.

Like the others have said, a DPDT switch would be the best bet. Have one side hooked to a constant relay for the lights, and the other side hooked to a relay feeding a strobe controller to the lights. Actually, since the Dually's pull such a low amperage, you could actually wire them directly to the switches if you wanted. A OTRATTW Contra V switch is rated for 20Amps.

An LED flasher like this one would appear to work. http://www.able2products.com/update/11_1005tsf_v1.htm

The Dually D2's are rated at 2.5A, and this will handle up to 3A per side.

That's my $0.02, but I'm sure there are much more electrically inclined people on this forum.

I look forward to hearing what solutions people have for this issue. Also, if you do get these installed, keep the forum updated on what all it took.

No, I've drawn a few diagrams out, but the simplest solution is to find a different style flasher unit, which I haven't found for LEDs yet... A DTDP switch is not an option with the sPod.
