Default Replaced Stock Speakers

I had all the stock Infinity 6.5" speakers replaced with Memphis M Class coaxial speakers. Much more crisp. Still plan on changing the dash tweeters but not sure with what yet.

Pretty much EVERY thread is useless w/o pictures.. We are a vain breed aren't we? Personally, I love looking and reading about JK's, almost as much as driving them!! Congrats on the speakers bud.. I was thinking about doing some sound work as well.. HOW DO THEY SOUND!!!???

They add a ton of crisp sound to the system. I'd suggest that anyone replacing their stock JK speakers also replace the dash tweeters. That will be my next move on the sound system.

I agree about the photos. I'm not doing the install of the system. So, it looks stock.

jkphoto is the rest of your system stock? Do you have the mygig ? Trying to find info on adding amp to mygig! Love the head unit just wish it had more power to push some nice speakers.

1RedRubi I've only replaced the below dash and sound bar speakers. Head unit works great for me. Its been so hot I haven't taken the top off yet. When I do and if the sound falls way off I may add an Amp or two. One for the sub (which I will replace) and one for everything else.

Default Infinity amp?

Are you using the factory amp for this? I was told that the speakers I bought (MB Quart Premium PVI216 components for the front and the MB Quart PVI164's for the soundbar) would sound bad because the stock infinity amp was crap and wouldn't have enough power. I was hoping it would be fine for now and then down the road I could buy the Alpine PDX-5 5-channel amp that supposedly fits in the same spot as the factory infinity amp.

Any recommendations? I also hope the speakers aren't too big to fit in the enclosures....

I only changed out the stock Infinity speakers with the Memphis speakers. They fit right into the factory opening. Looks stock.
