Finally figured it out! I've got a 2012 Jeep JKU Sahara with the Nav system. You can turn the horn function off from the in-dash controls. Just press the menu button on the steering wheel and scroll thru to the personal settings. Eliminated the horn honk on locking and remote starting. However, the engine still shuts down when I put the key into the ignition.

Update: It's working now. The engine will shut down upon inserting the key, but that only seems to be if you do it within the first minute of the engine running after remote start. Beyond that it stays running. Weird.
