Default Quick Sat. Antenna question

Ok guys I have a quick question. My Jeep is at the dealer getting my E brake replaced so I can't go look. I have a Gobi rack on the way and I know the Sat. antenna needs rerouted.

I did a search for this and found lots of pictures of places where others have put it but no write up descriptions that I can find. If anyone knows of one could you post a link?

I would like to know if I have to remove the dash and radio to do this or does the antenna unplug from the harness with enough wire to reroute it to the hood?

Would like to avoid tearing my dash out if at all possible.

BTW it's a 2012

Thanks

I know some guys that moved the SAT antenna to the hood but they purchased a new antenna instead of trying to reuse the factory one. The SAT antenna connection is at the rear of the radio.
