Question on battery draw
Question if someone can help me.
OK, we ride this Jeep in parades. BUT, I have ton of extras I am running also.
Is there a gauge I can add to tell if I am drawing TOO much? At present I am running 1 siren (all during the parade to boost the music to outside the vehicle), a standard radio with NO amp, the 2 after market windshield 55 watt lights, a sign on top and a sign in front (mind you, both these signs have ONLY led lights in them, as well as the two flag poles by the windshield)
OH, and the headlights ARE NOT ON, during the parade.

As long as it reads 14v or higher, the current required to charge the battery and to feed the rest of the electrical system isn't too much for your alternator.

something like this?
The quickest and easiest thing you can do is buy a volt meter that plugs into your switched accessory power outlet.
As long as it reads 14v or higher, the current required to charge the battery and to feed the rest of the electrical system isn't too much for your alternator.
