I've gone through all the threads that I was able to find searching this forum and other ones. I've read with the correct PAC unit you can upgrade your headunit and retain use of the amp and still have steering controls but no one has really mentioned much on the audio quality. I've read some people's sound quality when down the drain, I've heard of some improving. I also read you may lose fader controls from the headunit. Again, all of this has been from searching all over the net and to my knowledge no one has posted anything on this. Does anyone have any information they can share from experience vs what they've read. Any gotchas during the install as far as HU performance.

I'm in the same boat... i just installed a Kenwood DNX9960 on my 2012 with the Infinity sound system and my sound quality went down the drain. I used the PAC module and retained only the volume and channel preset select - I lost the use of the factory microphone, voice button on wheel and the pick up / hang up buttons on the wheel as well. Oh... no amp either.

Is there a way to splice into the stock harness to get any of these features back? Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the 2012?
