Default POV Fire Department Lights

Here's some ideas for anyone looking to light up their Jeep with Fire/EMS lights.

This was my weekend project: https://vimeo.com/49571847

More info/pics to follow.

Sorry I'm from CA and this seems bizarre to me. We also call them Rickey Rescues lol. Im assuming this is for volunteer firemen, but the states or counties allow you to legally have code 3 lights on your vehicle and to respond in your povs to calls? Seems like a huge liability. People don't pay attention to ambulance or cop cars or fire engines here, I couldn't imagine a 4 way intersection with a flashing jeep trying to request a right of way and people to pull over. What keeps the average person from doing this to their vehicle?
If someone had that here, they'd prob get arrested for impersonating a police officer lol

Yes, this is for the fire department. In NY, volley FD runs blues, volley EMS runs greens and are courtesy lights only. These lights, in NY give no legal right of way. Only reds in NY have actual legal authority. The liability is all on us. If we abuse them, our blue/green light card is pulled and we'll be liable for department or legal reprimand. It's very rarely abused here.

Every state I've lived in OTHER than CA allows vollies to run lights. Most stations aren't manned 24/7 so they have to respond from home, work, dinner out with the family, the movies, etc. while others respond to the station to get the trucks. I respect these guys. I'm a career FF/Medic, and these guys drop everything at a moments notice to help. It is rarely abused. Yes, any Joe Schmoe can buy lights and put them on their vehicle (even in CA), but it's not legal.

Too bad this thread went south... Great integration - exactly what I was planning. Could you post details about the lights & brackets. Plenty of LED options available, but I haven't seen a bracket that mates up that perfectly.
