Default Please Help with Lighting?

Sorry about another light thread, but I need your help.
I have two KC HiLiTES 121 SlimLite Black 130-Watt Long Range Light Systems (Four lights total)
kchilites.com/store/Black-Long-Range-SlimLitebrSystem-121-P257C77.aspx

and one set of the Black Driving SlimLite System # 124 (Two more lights)
kchilites.com/store/Black-Driving-SlimLitebrSystem-124-P268C48.aspx

I will be mounting the four Long Range Lights to my roof rack and I would like them to both run off of the same switch and I will be mounting the two driving lights to my bumper and running them on another switch.
I got the Driving lights from ebay without any wiring.
My question is can I take the wiring that came with one of the Long range light sets and use it on the driving lights that have no wiring and then buy the KC Add on Wiring Harness # 6316 with 40amp Relay to wire all four long range lights together and onto one switch?

Thanks!

The answer is NO. The fuse is not big enough to handel 4 lights. And the conductors are not set up to handel 4 lights. If you plan on these lights to be a perminent part of your jeep. I recomend scrapping all of the harnesses. And building your own. It does'nt cost that much more. And you can build a much better harness than what comes with the kit.

Second that notion - custom switching calls for custom wiring, but its not too hard. If you're not going to run the lights as intended you need to wire up something to handle the load.

Is there some reason you dont want to run seperate switches? There are benefits to running them on individual switches ya know..

Thanks, I will probably end up buying the new switch kit, but I was trying to avoid it to save some money.

Do yall have any recommendations for good kits?

One more question on the wiring harness, what does the 40amp relay do and why would this not support the additional two lights? See the link:

Thanks!

I think that kit you mentioned will probably work, but its going to result in a rats nest under your hood - if you're ok with that, than fine. I think getting an appropriate relay/fuse and running your own wiring would be better/cleaner was the previous point.

The problem I am seeing with the kit is that a 40amp relay isn't going to be big enough to run 4 130watt lights. If you divide the 520 total wattage used by 12you will get that you would need at least 43.33 amp realy and fuse, but with power fluctuations, etc... you would probably really want around a 60amp relar to run all four lights off the same switch. If you were to run something with a lower draw like a 55 wat light, or the HID or LED lighting that draws about 35watts of power then you would be safe running all 4 on one harness and switch.
