plasmaglow wiring question

plasmaglow wiring question
Guys,
Just wired up my led light bar to a Plasmaglow switch.
I wired the black to switched power so the ring would glow on while running. However when I push the switch and turn the light on the ring shuts off...which I was wanting to stay on.
Weird thing is that when the Jeep is off the ring lights up when the led bar is turned on!
Do I have something crossed or is this the way they operate?
Maybe need a jumper?

I would have to look at it to grasp exactly what you are saying but this is what I used when I wired my switches (bottom half)..the pins look different but they should be labeled the same on the plasmaglow

I plugged the red and white from the plasmaglow into the harness ends and tapped the black from the switch into a switched power source.

Hope this helps you can output to the relay or straight to the power to your lights. Here is lights off then lights on

So maybe what I'm trying to do by making the ring light only light up when accessory power is on and also stay on when led is turned on is not possible?
I can get the trim ring to light by accessory power only but when I push it to turn the led on the trim ring goes out.

The ring should be on only when the LEDs are on. I could be off on the color wires and can look tomorrow on my switch box. Sounds like you have a wire crossed on the switch. 1&4 should have power at all times, 3 goes to power your lights and 5 is ground. If your switch came with these wires then white is 12v+ from the battery and the red is power to your lights while black is ground.

It doesn't have to be that way, on the diagram above it shows you can do any number of things depending on personal preference. Having the switch on constant with accessory power is just another way to do it. Jumper between + and C would achieve a constant LED on the switch
