Maybe I'm old fashioned or just plain old, but I'm gonna stick with the round off road lights. I'm sure the LED's are way more efficient and will last longer, but I just can't get use to the contemporary, little, boxy look. I think my mind was already made up, but was looking to see if some of you could sway me. Thanks for all of your input folks. Truly appreciated.

Good choice. my Hellas are inexpensive and with the hid in them perform amazing. Makes the 130w bulbs I had um them seem like candles.

Where did you get the hid's and do they require anything special like ballasts?

I ordered mine from vvme.com. make sure to get 4300k as well. Anything higher is stupid blue color which actually decreases actual light output. Also, remember lumens ratings with all these led lights are drastically over exaggerated. The kit has everything you need to get light. You will need a h3 kit. Double check what bulb the Hellas use. But h3 rings a bell. Been a while since I ordered them.

Take a look at the Vision X Light Cannons for the a-pillars. Traditional round look with modern LED performance. I'm looking into auxiliary lighting mysf and also strongly prefer the traditional look.

I was leaning towards LEDs for all the reasons cited in the posts above. But when I looked more carefully at posts that addressed the ability to illuminate objects at long distance, it became clear that Duallys or D2s couldn't match the more conventional 6" incandescent lights (let alone HIDs).
Yeah, maybe a 50" lightbar can turn night into day, but that's not the "apples to apples" comparison that I think the OP is asking.
I went with the PIAA 520ATP lights and they do just fine. But I could also see where 1 set of 6" lights matched with some Duallys could give the best of both worlds.

I've had great success with KC.

I've used Hella 550s, IPF (forget the number bu were round and 100+ watt), BOSCH, and PIAA.

The KCs have been just as bright. I can say enough about their customer service and warranty.

I've got a set of Daylighters on my front bumper, stainless, and they are holding up great!

They are, in my opinion, best/most bang for your buck.

I am selling (but haven't posted a FS ad yet) a set of lights that might fit your needs, sent you a PM.

Truck-lite makes a 6.5" round LED light that puts out similar Lumens as the Rigid Dually's. Dually's put out 1300lumens, these 1500. Round, etc.

The part number is 81711
