Default PIAA 520 light wiring help

So I spent most of the day (and night) yesterday installing a MBRP light bar with PIAA 520 ATP lights. I finally got everything installed with all the wires run, and the switch does nothing. I wired the switch power to the M9 fuse using a fuse tap. It was about 2am last night when I "finished" everything only to have the lights not turn on - so I gave up for the evening. The switch led should come on if it has power, which it did not. I guess I'll go over all of the wiring connects again. Is there a way to test if the swtich is getting power from the fuse?

Edit: I figured it out - the guy at the auto parts store sold me the wrong amperage fuse tap. I was using a 20 amp fuse slot and the tap was only rated up to 10 amps. I discarded it, wrapped the wire around a tooth of a 20 amp fuse, stuck it in the slot and they worked perfectly. I was very relieved that I didn't have to tear all the wiring out looking for the problem.

You are using the switch to energize a relay only, and the contacts of the relay are being used for the power feed to the lights, through an inline fuse. Right?

I believe you are right. Here's the wiring diagram for the PIAA 520's that was posted in another thread. I was referring to the switch wire marked "2" in the diagram. The instructions were to tap into the high beam power wire but I wanted to turn them on whenever I wanted so sent that wire to the fuse box and used the unused M9 fuse location for heated seats.
