Default Parking Bypass question

Ok I bought a parking brake bypass from amazon, but i have not installed it yet. I am gonna use it but i want an "emergency" switch hidden so if i get pulled over I can hit the switch and it will shut down the video. Ok the question is can i install a toggle switch to connect to one of the 3 wires coming from the little bypass (power, ground, and parking brake) and the bypass only, so the toggle switch will be connected directly to the bypass, before the connection to the HU, and be able put a toggle switch there and mount it. That way if have a movie is playing you can flip the switch and it will disable the bypass, but you can still have a fully functional radio when the bypass "toggle" is flipped off? Then say when the "authorities" leave you can h it the toggle back to the play position and be back to watching video's.

You need more than a parking brake override. The system also gets speed from the Jeep's ECM, so as soon as you start moving the radio will lock itself out from showing video. This is how the Lockpick unlocks it, by intercepting the speed signal and sending a speed of "0" to the radio, so it will let you operate it as if it were standing still.

Get yourself a "lockpick" device. Plug - n play , unlocks many more features on the MygIg units , allows for backup camera and 2 more. And no wire hacking. Assuming you are talking about the factory DVD/Nav HU that is?

Its a Pioneer AVH-P2400BT, from everything I have read it states that a parking brake bypass is all I need. This is the first time I have heard about the "lockpick" mechanism... The link below is to the bypass that I have purchased. Amazon.com: PIONEER VIDEO BYPASS FOR AVH-P1400DVD AVH-P2400BT AVH-P3400BH AVH-P4400BH: Electronics

Thank you for your help and inputs!

You can use them to watch DVDs in the radio, or if you have the cable to attach your iPhone to the RCA jacks you can go that way.

This will depend on if you have an iPhone 5 or not. The iPhone 5 removed the analog video output connections that were available on previous iPhone's. The iPhone 5 uses the new lightning connector which is all digital.

Go to AVIC411.com. It's a Pioneer forum. They have all the hacks for the nav systems. Used to have Pioneers in my Vette (RIP) and F150. Don't waste your money on those Amazon.com or ebay bypass scams. They have step by step procedures to unlock your HU without buying any lockpicks or bypasses. I have a Kenwood now and all I have to do is ground the parking brake wire.
