FYI - the "Power Convenience Group" was separate from the "S Package" on my 2008. I got the S, but didn't add the Power.

Gak! Unfortunately, I can't give you a link to this. But, I just "built" two 4-door 4x4 Unlimiteds on the Jeep.com website. One with the S package, one without. I'm looking at a matrix comparing the two. Here's what's added:

Dual Top Group
Electronic Rear Locking Differential
Remote Keyless Entry
Temperature and Compass Gauge
Fog Lamps
Security Alarm
Tubular Side Steps
Chrome Tubular Side Steps (and, no, this is not a Sahara)
Speed Control
uConnect
Leather-wrapped Steering Wheel
Electronic Front Sway Bar Disconnect
Freedom Top (duh!)
Front and Rear Tow Hooks
17" Wheels

There can also be added to the S package model:

Rear Window Defogger
Rear Window Wiper (wish I'd had the option to leave this off my JK!)

So, that's a lot different than the 2007 S package, because I did not get dual tops, side steps, a security alarm, electronic front sway bar disconnect, rear lockers, 17" wheels, keyless entry.

Isn't Power Convenience Group the power windows and door locks? I agree, nothing to do with the S package or the temp/direction/trip gauges.

My temperature gauge is pretty precise....maybe 2 degrees, at the most, off from the ones at the banks. That DTE I would not trust at all.

My moms Grand is always pretty close and usually only 2 or 3 deg off at most. I think it might have something to do with it taking a little bit to change the reading after the temp has actually changed. (ie the temp was a little different from where you were coming from and not exactly the same as the banks temp gauge. Not sure though. Also I have never seen a DTE that has worked very good. I would never trust one either.
