If you go with the IPF'S you still have the stock wiring. Wich means you can't go with a brighter (higher wattage) bulb because the can-bus will cut power to your lights. If you want to go with brighter bulbs and bypass the stock wiring all together you need to go with the Ralley light Hellas and Sasquahana harness. It is a few dollars more but the kit uses heavier wiring and new relays and gets power directly from the battery. One of the best upgrades I've made to date.

I did the Pilot PL203W fog light upgrade today.
Now I'm looking at headlight upgrades. From what I've gathered, the IPF kit is pretty nice but not perfect. The kit at rallylights is better but more expensive. I want more light but don't want to drop hundreds of bucks on this if it's not going to be a LOT better, ya know?
So I was thinking.. those Sylvania Silverstar sealed beam 7" headlamps you can buy off the shelf at any auto parts store.. will those fit the JK?? I know they fit in TJs, but what about JKs? If they'd physically fit and the retainer rings would work OK, then a guy could bag up two of those for $50 bucks and then bag up some H13 to H4 adapters for $20 bucks and you'd have a $70 mod that would put out some serious light with no cutting and splicing. Just a thought.. haven't tried it yet.
