Yes they are birght, Yes they are illegal, but they are no where near as bad as HIDs.

I'm also looking into something similar to this but with a higher amp rating. http://www.amazon.com/KEEDOX%C2%AE-C.../dp/B00A71E52G. I have ran these lights on my bench power supply and they emit way less light at a lower voltage. That is going to be my solution to the brightness. Ill wire them so the "low" beams are 9v and the "high" beams are the full 12v. If all else fails there Ill keep the lower voltage and tint the lights themselves

Wow. So you figured everyone else is an idiot why not be one too. Honestly they don't even look good. Maybe when you kill or seriously hurt someone you'll realize what a dumbass you are but by then it's too late.

Not to jump in with everyone, but that is some of the worst logic I have ever heard of. I understand off-road lighting and have some of my own. But to know they are illegal and then you replaced your main driving lights with them, that is just plain stupid. Hopefully a cop pulls you over and impounds the jeep before you kill someone.

All I'm saying is if someone using these lights pass by me going the other way on the highway, I'm gonna be throwing my beer bottle out the window at them, full or not.
