Default New head unit

My dealer told me if i replaced my head unit or added any amplifiers that it would void my warranty. Is this true?

It will only void what you replace. It's against the law to void the whole warranty because of indirect after market part being installed.
Its called I think " Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act "

I would find a new dealership. He should be thanking you for your purchase. Not threatening you. What a tool. Like it's any skin off his back if you have a different radio and speakers.

Some people are just worthless.

I'm at my dealership for the first time since my aftermarket H/U & speaker install as I type this. Just waiting to see what, if anything is said to me.

Personally, I have no problem with them enforcing a restriction on the warranty as it pertains to the interior electronics...Land Rover is the same. They're VERY strict on any vehicle modifications. Having said that, I'd be pretty pissed if they try to come across heavy handed with something like a total warranty void.

***edit*** - nothing said except "nice job on the install".
