New bulbs or Complete headlamp kit?

I know everyone seems to prefer a full headlamp kit to just replacing the bulbs. So my wife is willing to buy me something for the Jeep for my birthday. I need to tell her exactly what I want. I know there has been some issues with after-market accessories fitting the 2012.
Can anyone recommend some headlights that will work better than stock?

Well if what you want out of a headlight is light output, color and cutoff, they yes they would be the best.
