Need PAC module if scrapping infinty system?
Hello everyone, hoping I can get this answered.
I just bought a jvc KW-AVX830 dvd head unit, and am planning on wiring it directly to the battery, directly to the speakers, and totally bypassing the infinty system. I will be leaving the amp in so that my door chimes will work, but the guy who sold me the metra dash kit says I will need a PAC module to close the circuit on the can-bus, otherwise the BCM will stay on even when the jeep is off, which will end up draining the battery.
Does anyone know if this is true? Or can I just leave the head unit harnesses floating behind the new deck and not woory about it?
