I did a more extensive write up and credited your wiring schematic and link back to this thread, thank you for that, it was just what I needed. I like simple smart control circuits.

Here is my setup. Iidependently switched, works good. LED floodlight.

Here's where I just put mine. I need a little more wire to get my switch hooked up but I've got the relay all done behind the rear tail light so it will come on when I'm backing up as well as when I hit the switch.

I removed the tire, took out the 4 screws on the back of the third brake light casing, drilled a hole in the top and mounted the light. I used a plastic washer so hopefully it will stay water tight.
