That's really close to what I was thinking of. I have a feeling that to do what I want to do, I'll have to suck it up a get the swing-out tire carrier. It seems that is the best way to get additional mounting points.

You could easily mount a VisionX 2" LED cube on top of each brakelight; they claim all sorts of numbers but the floods actually put out a good amount of light, maybe 600 lumens or so.
Or, mounted on the lollipop flanking the 3rd eye brakelight, a nice pair of Rigid Industries Dually floods --- or, better yet, Dually D2s. I like the Rigids better than the VisionX; they have more light and a better pattern.
Benefits of LED are obvious. Low power draw, long life, impervious to H2O, robust build that can take trail abuse, small size, low weight, etc.

On my daily driver we cut out the rear bumper (before painting it) and installed a pair of LED lights. On my JK we simply installed a set of Rigid dually LEDs in existing holes in the rear bumper.

These rear back up light's are not switched. Ran a separate 20 amp circuit from an added fuse block just in front of the battery. Then added the relay and installed it at the left fire wall. Tied the relay trigger to the reverse lights. No dash switch. (This may be illegal in some states) I also have these on a Grand Cherokee, got pulled over for it. That fine gentlmen dressed in blue tore the Cherokee apart looking for a switch that would blind tail gaters. After unable to find a switch I got a warning for having a clear cover on the rear license plate. Their are some unadvised hot dogs out there so check local codes before installing.
I put the relay for the rear fog lights on the left side fire wall with in line fuse for easy access down the road. Also put a relay on right side firewall to control the hood lights, using the high beam to trigger the relay At the glove box area pic shows the two camera cables headed to the lock pick.

I don't like to put stuff on from other sites, but check out how this setup looks for a stock bumper:

Some nice lookin' ideas. I'm gonna have to do some soul searching on what I want to do. I think the real advantage to having them at the spare tire level is for some Jerk Off riding your ass. I definately want to do a Reverse setup with a switch. i have the Daystar Toggle switches in the lower dash and I only am using one for my winch power. I'm thinking that between this and front spot lights that will let me use 3 out 4 switches.

For any type of offroading, the position of the PIAA's are probably in one of the better locations to mount. The little dually's mounted to corner of the stock bumper.......well you do know why those are refered to as crush cans. Those little lights wouldn't last very long on the trail mounted there, pretty much any location like bumper corners or below the bumper is probably for a street only vehicle and theres nothing wrong with that if thats your style
