MyGig update question
It has been a while since I've updated MyGig in my 07. Just checked the system page and here is my info:
App - 9.807
Database - R2-N 1060642
Gracenotes - 534
SDS - 131574
Sys 6816 006 3.5
I have no idea what any of that means
The question I have is - What is the latest update that my system will handle and where can I find it?

There's a good thread on here about the 2.404 software update. Your Gracenotes are way out of date as well. Both of those are downloadable from sox's site if I remember right.

I should have left it all alone and been happy with what I have 
It all started with my wife asking to update her GPS maps on her Acura MDX.
I found, via the Chrysler site, the so called latest update for my MyGig based on my VIN number. They are sending me the CD free but I see it is dated 1/1/2011. Since I do a lot of cross country travelling I ordered the Chrysler HB RER MyGig Ver 2014 map update. This was also based on my VIN number. So now I have two CDs coming, one free and one costing $149.. Are these separate and distinct from the 2.404 software mentioned in the posts?

Looks like I might have my answer after doing some further reading. If I read everything correctly, when I receive my map update, it will also include the "latest" software update which may or may not be the real latest but certainly newer than what I have

Yes, in my experience the maps have always come with the latest software uodate, which is 2.404 for RER. they will not come with the Gracenotes update, you'll have to grab that one off the interwebs.

Basically there are three pieces of software to update...the maps, gracenotes and the operating system.
Maps are not free...the other two are.
When you start this process make sure you have lots of time and whatever you do dont shut off the Jeep before it is completed.
