This is the DCX recommended procedure for reseting your ECU. As long as nothing is connected to the ground terminal of the battery, and the vehicle is not running, there is no risk of damage to you or your vehicle.

Harmon-Becker replaced the entire unit today and everything works perfectly. They said they would let me know what it takes to fix it and I could pass it along. These guys are the best of the best. If you are unsure whether or not you want a MyGig, I would say without a doubt, get it.
