As for the software updates they are VERY easy to do as long as you follow the instructions you will never have a problem. Chrysler WILL charge to perform the update and it will not be the most recent update either.
The latest version is 2.402
Here is the most recent update and the detailed instructions on how to install it.

Sorry, Not true. Good to know Travel Link is on the Garmin based NAV as well. Not sure about the dealer charging for updates, they have always updated mine during Oil Changes (Without asking, so now I specifically tell them NOT TO).

I have the 730n RER.
I do know the 730n RER has the 'Harmin Uconnect' Navigation and the 430n runs the garmin. Also... and a big reason I choose the 730n, the 730n is compatable with Lockpick and NAVTV. I am still unsure if the 430n will be able to run with those devices or not, but the manufactures says NO.
I have searched, and most people say the Nav interface/software is the only difference, but I think they are wrong. Seems the voice command options are different, but still dont know how different. Ive looked through the manual and most of the features do line up.

My research
I just purchased my 2011 JK this past weekend and have been searching for some more info as it is listed in the manual and the brochure.
I called the dealership and they said it was only available on the 730 unit. Fail.
Contacted Jeep on the owners link and here is what they wrote me back:
Thank you for contacting the Jeep Customer Assistance Center in regards
to your 2011 Wrangler.
Regarding your Sirius Travel Link inquiry, an update disc for your Media
Center is currently in production and will be released by mid-May. Once
you have received the update disk, you may follow the instructions
provided to perform the upgrade yourself or speak with your dealership
for the correct installation procedures.
Pursuant to your interest in the Travel Link? upgrade for your media
center (430N Garmin? based navigation radio) we will provide you with a
CD along with easy to follow instructions for the installation.
Once the software upgrade completes successfully, the travel link
information could take up to 10 minutes to become available. Your Travel
Link? service will be active and remain active for the duration of your
factory loaded one year Sirius? Satellite Radio subscription.[/I][/I]
My current software version screen shows the following:
Application 20.02.01
Audio CPU 081910
Sirius 1A.00.1A.6C
Gracenote BA1
I will update the post with relevant software numbers as soon as I get the disc and install it.
