I wanted it hidden. Plus, I drive with my hand real close to the switch. I can hit it easily. There is still room for a switch for windshield lights.

That's real nice, but what good are the door speakers gonna do ya when you take them off?

Nice catch. They are door speakers converted to dash speakers.

Ill be running the soft top this summer. Then I can put it up quick if it rains. Ill have to keep a good eye on it though so they dont get stolen.

What prevents someone from taking off the headrests when the top is down?

Nothing. My plans are to get Wet Okole seatcovers. Then the monitors will be covered when not in use. I dont plan on leaving the Jeep very long with the top off anyway.



I didnt install the monitors. I had a buddy do it. The monitors come as a kit from Alpine. You cut the headrest and install a bracket inside. Then you attach the bracket to the monitor. My buddy said that the JK was the easiest one he has ever done..... he has been installing stereos for 20+ years.
