I installed a new RER on Tuesday and that night I didn't drive it but it never linked with the satellites. The next few days it worked fine. Well just now I drove 50 miles and it never linked and said I was still sitting at my house. What should I do? Also I keep trying to update it to the new software but it keeps saying wrong disk for software update.

Did you hook up the sat antenna when you installed the mygig it's the green plug

Make sure all of your connections are tight, they need to click in.

All of the wires are properly hooked up. When I first crank up the jeep the gps does the "Navigation initializing" or whatever screen and it pinpoints exactly where I am. But never moves.

Mine was doing the exact same thing over the last few days. I thought I just had a system that was about to croak.

Figured it out. Got into Engineer mode and turned it off of Demo Mode. But I've downloaded multiple different software updates from that website and it just keeps saying something about not right type of disk. My current software is 9.041. Should I update to any specific one before I update to the brand new software?

2.402 is the latest release, you definitely want to upgrade.

While you are at it update Gracenotes to 3373.

Did you follow the downloading, extracting and burning guide? Mygig is very picky about how files are named.

Yea the 2.402 is the first one I tried to install. I did a search before writing any of this and the guy on this thread had the same problem. And only one person responded saying to try older updates so that's what I've been trying with no luck so far. I've followed every instruction. I am using a MacBook Pro too.

Does the display say acquiring signal? If so go to best buy and buy a off the shelf sirus antenna

The Sirius is fine. And now the nav is too. My only problem is getting the Mygig software to update from the CDs I'm burning.
