I installed the factory camera on a MyGIG REN. The Unit did not recognize the camera automatically ... Dealer had to enable it .. not in the radio .. if I understand correctly .. it is enabled in the TIPM.

The MyGig units are self-contained units. If the TIPM were involved then it would be software involved and no reason to have it in software if no plan for a Wrangler to a Back-up Cam. If Chrysler can't add simple steering wheel controls to the Wrangler, as past models have had this feature, why would they have back up cam? Plus these units can be installed in past models that would not have this software in the vehicle because they didn't exist. So that's a little clue it's not in the TIPM, plus installation instructions compared to installs that are software involved are very different.
