I don't believe that..... most DVD players are capable of reading CD!!!!! Now that is for PC's this might be deiferent.. I would have to see that in writing

????????? Of course it has a CD player. Also plays DVD's and you can rip CD's to it's hard drive as well. I put a huge ammount of MP3's on a DVD and carry that as well.
