Exactly, the point I was trying to get to, since I pointed out earlier the NON U.S. versions have a lock function.

It seems he may have a European version of the MyGig, which will not work in the U.S.

I know im replying a year later but i have the same issue I was wondering if that ever got resolved and if so... how? I'd hate to believe that i got duped out of some serious cash.

Also keep in mind the 2012 and 2013 now require a code only the dealer can get using the vin # in which they have to then call the mfg of the unit to get the code.

If you bought the unit from someone who still owns the jeep they should be able to get that info
