Default my gig locked

I have recently purchased a my gig radio on eBay. The problem is when I plug it in it asks for a four digit security code. The seller has sent me a few different codes. None of which work. Is there any way to crack it or should I just try to get refunded.

Never heard of this one. What model is it? What did it come out of?

In the bottom right corner should be 3 letters. What are they? I believe a lock security code function used for Anti-theft purposes is used on non U.S. models of the MyGig. The 3 letters would let us know if you have a U.S. MyGig or something else.

I also believe that the security code is tied to the VIN of the vehicle the security code was set in. So that's why the security code sent to you, won't work when the MyGig is installed in your vehicle.

Take it to the stealership. they can program it, unless it is stolen. in that case, take it to the police department and have them run the serial #. If it pops in NCIC as stolen, contact eBay or Paypal if you used them to pay. I would be really hesitant to buy a used MyGig just based on my experiences with new ones sucking balls....

Like I said previously, there are 3 letters in the bottom right corner of the MyGig. That will tell us which MyGig you have. Nobody asked which vehicle it came out of.

Forget the three letters. What exact part number is it? There are a ton of "mygigs" out there for two different bus system speeds (High and Low)

The below examples are for "RER" units only

I.E:
P/N 82211473

P/N 82211473AB
P/N 82211473AC
P/N 82211473AD

2009
P/N 82211860

P/N 82211860AB

2010
P/N 82212009

Only will work on the wrangler
