Default Metra XSVI-6522 harness

hi i am trying to get the speed from the vss wire does anyone know if you use the Metra XSVI-6522 harness ,will that give you a wire for the vss that you can use ? thanks alote .

anyone here use the Metra XSVI 6522 harness ? i just need to know if it has a vss wire ? ive been looking and looking can seem to find the answer? i know the PAC C2R-CHY2 does but its twice the price and all i need is the vss wire. i just want to make sure it has the vss wire before i buy it . thanks for the help !

vehicle speed sensor . its for navigation it sends the speed of the jeep to the nav unit to help be more accurate .

the 6522 does not provide a VSS wire. You have to get the CHTO-03 in order to have a VSS wire. The VSS is integrated into CANBUS, so there isn't actually a VSS wire - which is why the CHTO-03 provides one.

No problem. PAC makes a similar adapter as the CHTO-03, but I haven't seen anyone use it yet.

Bumping this back up.

Did you ever find a way to get the VSS signal? I bought this harness (XSVI-6522 ) because that's what I read that I needed if I didn't have the Infinity system.

am I screwed?

i have the 6522 installed with my kenwood dnx7100 works great, evry accurate with the speed, the vss wire from the nav unit get grounded to disable saftey feat. i think there is a second wire for speed on the unit but i dont really know my friend installed but i do know that if u have any ? u can call metra or crutchfield
