Now I wish I could get it honk not on the first lock, but if I lock it and then hit the lock again giving me a short beep on the second time just to give me a confirmation from a distance. My wife's Honda does that and it is nice.

It don't work with my 2008 sahara unlimited...any idea?
Boy-oh-boy, this sure sounded easy enough
I've tried being in the drivers seat, outside, waited for the security light to go off, held the lock for 10+seconds, and simultaneously held the panic button as well as for only a second.
This is one tough code to crack...any suggestions?

Finally was able to get it.
The trick is: after the lock button is held for 10 seconds...the simultaneous hold of the panic button has to be more than 2 seconds, then release both.

Luckily when I picked my Jeep up I was in a hurry so I told them to forget showing me everything, that I would figure it out on my own. I didn't have to get dumbfounded by their stupidity that way

Thanks for the thread. I needed to turn mine on since we somehow shut it off. I like the horn confirmation especially when I lose my car in a parking garage. LOL
Then again I have a garage so I don't have to lock it anywhere that noise is a problem.
The seat belt ding, however, is gonna be on the outs tonight!
Thanks for posting! Oh and I DID check the manual and there wasn't anything on this issue.

Stopping the horn from beeping when locking doors
Just FYI - this info is in the 2015 Wrangler Owner's Manual on page 25.

Finally figured it out! I've got a 2012 Jeep JKU Sahara with the Nav system. You can turn the horn function off from the in-dash controls. Just press the menu button on the steering wheel and scroll thru to the personal settings. Eliminated the horn honk on locking and remote starting. However, the engine still shuts down when I put the key into the ignition.
