Default Magellan eXplorist TRX7

Has anyone tried the Magellan eXplorist TRX7 yet? I have been looking for actual reviews from someone that has tried it and can't find any. Was hoping to find out if it's worth all the hype and price. I know it's pricey and there are other options, just want to find out from someone that has actually used this GPS.

Don't waist your money. GAIA GPS app and your cell phone, tablet or iPad. 20 bucks and all the maps you can think of download for free in the app. If you have a wifi only iPad use a Garmin GLO ($100) turns an iPad into a very accurate GPS

My buddy bought it and returned it after a week. It is just an older android tablet with the "not ready for prime time"software on it. Slow, crashed constantly, and crazy over priced. We use Viewranger for offline topo maps and Osmand+ for offline maps with searches and turn by turn navigation.
