Default Looking for some guidance on lights

Hey guys, I'm looking to add a set of windshield and bumper mount lights. Only thing I'm having trouble with is I don't really know the difference between the different styles and what is best used for what scenarios (Long range,Fog,Driving). If anyone wants to make a suggestion on which company they prefer and why, that would be awesome.

Ling Range on the windshield to reduce hood glare.
Driving lights on top of the bumper.
Fog Lights in or below the bumper.
Brands? - Best you can afford.
