There are some cheap cameras on the market but you probably won't be happy with the picture. The first camera that I bought has 530 TV lines was for back up and it works ok but not a good picture. I searched for a long time and found a 700 TV line lipstick camera at Fry Electronics for around $50 that has a real good picture but is water resistant not water proof. I rigged it with a trailer hitch plug, it only uses 3 wires, and I can take it off until I am ready to go offroad. The lockpic will turn the front cam on below 18 mph and the rear when the vehicle is put in reverse.
Just FYI most home security camers are 12 volt DC and will work. I looked for a long time to find one that didn't have infared LEDs so there wouldn't be extra current draw on the lockpic. Headlights put out plenty enough light if you want to night wheel and use the camera.

Don't mean to high jack this thread, but it seems like a good place to ask. I do not currently have a MyGIG radio...just have the stock radio. I installeded a rear camera about a month ago...the picture is shown through the rear view mirror. Well, during the day, it's hard to see...so, I'm thinking about buying a MyGIG so that I can see it better.

Question: If I purchase a REN MyGIG (don't need the one with Nav), do I need a lockpic to use the camera? I don't see how the camera would plug into the rear of the MyGIG.

I believe there may be a way. I have seen different post where people have bought and installed the Jeep Commander BU cam and had the dealer turn on the option for a fee. Sorry I can't give you much more than hope. I think the lockpick is worth the money since it provides much more than just ports for 3 cameras.
